BARTLETT HIGH SCHOOL ⎼ Last Friday night, January 31, the Bartlett lady bears did it once again! Against rivals, the East High Thunderbirds, the lady bears won finishing the game 42-28.

The ladies came out strong in the first quarter and took a huge lead, 16-9. They continued to take the lead and eventually got the outcome they deserved.

In a post-game interview with one of the starting five players, Pese Matautia, Bartlett’s starting guard stated, “I feel very good about tonight's win. I am very proud of how all of us stepped up and played since we were missing one of our key players.”

Although Mia ‘Uhila, who is also part of the starting five at point guard had to sit this game out due to being sick, she was still very proud of her team’s performance and for getting the job done.

The ladies have a 5-0 conference record and continue to make a name for themselves. They ended up last year in the State Championships, but fell short to the Dimond Lynx. However, this year they are working hard everyday to bring the winning trophy home to B-TOWN.
