BARTLETT HIGH SCHOOL- Last Friday, on senior night, the Bartlett boys came out on top with a win against the West Anchorage Eagles. The score was close in the fourth quarter, but eventually our boys finished the game 63-57.

The seniors on the team are: Jedidiah Pollard, Michael Tosi, Leroy Manogiamanu, Keandre Glaze, Deangelo Pitts and Derrick Taylor.

There are big moves happening for all of the seniors, but here are some plans from three. For Pollard, his plans are to go to school and eventually become an FBI agent. Taylor plans to go to Oregon State University and study in Kinesiology to become a physical therapist to help athletes recover. For Pitts, his plans are to go to college and hopefully have a business of his own in the future.

Here is a word of advice from our last three seniors to basketball players wanting to play varsity next year:

Tosi says,  “Always be confident in your game, show up to summer workouts and be coachable.”

Manogiamanu says, “Hard work beats talent when talent fails to work hard.”

Glaze says, “Take all your opportunities, go to workouts and do everything in the off season to prepare yourself for the season.” With the basketball season coming to an end soon, this could be the last time some of our seniors step out on the court. Go out and support them in the regional tournament in a couple weeks!
